Dr Lorraine Sheridan is a Forensic Psychologist and Adjunct Associate Professor at Curtin University, bringing over 25 years of experience in treatment, assessment, and research settings.
Lorraine's expertise spans pre-sentencing psychological assessments, expert witness reports for the Family Court, threat assessment, therapy, and psychological evaluations across various contexts including the workplace and immigration tribunals. She is a published researcher, mainly in the areas of stalking and violence prevention, and regularly provides professional consultation to organisations and public figures worldwide.
Before moving to Australia from the UK, Lorraine assisted authorities in an “offender profiler” role. She has a particular passion for the cases that defy easy categorisation - the complex, the unusual, and the genuinely puzzling. After 25 years, it is the people and cases that challenge assumptions and demand creative, rigorous thinking that she finds most compelling. She brings that same curiosity and depth to every client she works with, however straightforward or complex their situation may appear.
Lorraine's approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, evidence, and respect for the individual. She recognises that the people who seek support often carry complex histories and unique circumstances, and she is committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space in which genuine change becomes possible.
